On successful completion of your Phonics Training Online Course you may be interested in gaining Masters Level accreditation for your study.

The assessment and certification process completed with the Phonics Training Online Course from Phonics International can enable a candidate to gain 20 credits to the MA Education Professional Practice (part time online) with the University of Cumbria.

To do this you will need to complete the application and registration process for the Negotiated Study module on the MAEPP programme at the University of Cumbria (link below).  This module is specifically structured to incorporate your learning from the Phonics Training Online Course from Phonics International and to support you in the implementation of your new learning.

You will be required to complete a short rationale for your choice of the approach and a portfolio of findings/evidence and analysis that demonstrate how theory relates to practice.  This will incorporate elements of your learning during the Phonics Training Online Course and/or annotated documents from your professional context.  There are three possible registration dates for this module throughout the year September, January and June.

This can be registered for as a ‘stand-alone’ module, or as part of the full MA programme where it is possible to focus on your approach to teaching reading.
